The Cedar Pool sits at the center of the retreat, held a few degrees warmer than the others and ringed by the cedar decking that gives the ritual its name.
Guests are asked to leave devices at the entrance. There is no music piped into the pool — only the sound of water moving through the overflow channel, which was designed specifically to be audible rather than silenced.
A typical session runs forty-five minutes: ten minutes of acclimation at the shallow end, thirty minutes floating or seated at the deep end, and five minutes of cooling on the cedar decking before returning to the changing rooms.
