Ember Sauna Hour is dry heat rather than steam, run in three ten-to-fifteen-minute rounds with a break between each — a pacing we adopted after noticing most guests found one long continuous sit less comfortable than several shorter ones.
Water can be ladled onto the stones for a brief burst of humidity, but the room runs dry by default.
The hour ends with a slow walk to the outdoor terrace rather than a plunge — a deliberate change of pace from the other heat rituals.
