Thermae opened around a single tapped mineral spring in 1998, in a valley that had quietly known about the water for far longer than that. We're still there — six pools now, each held at a different temperature and mineral concentration, none of them chlorinated past what the spring itself provides.
Twelve people run the whole operation: a water systems lead who treats temperature like a craft, a ritual designer who studied bathing traditions on three continents before writing a single house ritual, and a small grounds team that keeps the outdoor pools lit only by lantern after dark.
